February and March art

All grade levels assembled their art portfolios and selected a piece for the art exhibit. Students were encouraged to select their favorite art piece.

Kindergarten, TK, and Mr. Slatten’s class:

Jean Basquiat Dinosaur Drawing- Students learned about the artist Jean Michael Basquiat and drew a his famous T-rex. They also added symbols around the t-rex. They completed this with a visiting substitute teacher.

First Grade:

Social Studies Connection: Early Californian tribes and uses for weaving in every day life

Media and Materials: Paper plates, scissors, tape, yarn, plastic needle, and acrylic paint markers

5th grade:
